The Isle of Wight Council has joined with key partners on the Island to set up and promote CarShareWight. We have done this because car sharing has a number of benefits:

• It reduces private car use and carbon emissions – contributing to the Eco Island vision
• It reduces congestion at peak times
• It is a cheaper way to travel, helping commuters to control costs
• It helps those without a car to be more mobile
• It promotes community spirit

We have teamed up with liftshare, the largest implementor of car share projects in the UK, to bring you this scheme and to ensure that you can connect with a national database of car sharers.
